What's With The Name?
We've been asked about the name of our little venture enough times now to warrant some type of action on our part. This page is that action. We are not involved in politics on any level whatsoever. In fact, we avoid politics if at all possible. The name "Robust American" is simply an homage, of sorts, to one of our favorite authors. Hunter S. Thompson (July 18, 1937 – February 20, 2005)
“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.”
― Hunter S. Thompson, Kingdom of Fear (2003)
