THIS SOUND SET IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION...KEEP AN EYE ON THIS PAGE FOR UPDATES!!!

Greetings fellow digital Synthusiasts! We've been working day and night with the Wavestate for nearly 2 months now and our efforts are starting to come to fruition. We're shooting for a Christmas/New Year's release so stay tuned! We plan to update this page on a weekly basis with our progress and the general experience of working with the Wavestate.

First Update: Posted on Nov 3, 2020
~
(So far we have 82 Performances, 225 Programs and 138 Wave Sequences) It is truly hard to believe how many files are being generated by this synth. Sadly, we are starting to have a bit of trouble with the "Value" knob. Hopefully this will not become a major issue.

Second Update: Posted on Nov 10, 2020
~
First of all, we've added a second video to the playlist below. It demonstrates 7 more patches/performances from our upcoming release for the Wavestate.
~
(91 Performances, 247 Programs and 143 Wave Sequences) Things are progressing rather well and the value knob hasn't been an issue. (fingers crossed) We do need to take a day and do some house cleaning. That means deleting duplicates and junk but it also means naming and saving all the individual files that are populating our performance patches. We start every single program/performance from a completely initialized state. We often save the performance before we have saved the programs, wave sequences etc. This results in many, many files with names like "Init Program" & "Init Wave Sequence" in our performances. Fortunately, we've figured out a way of using the librarian and the hardware to speed up the renaming/saving process. Basically, we quickly name the files "A", "B", "C" and "D" using the synth hardware. Then we take a look at the librarian where those newly renamed files magically pop up. We then rename the new files using the librarian and our computer keyboard. Finally, we confirm the newly named files are actually now "in the performance" and we save the performance!!!

Currently Under Investigation:
We've been using the Mod Processor called "Smooth" to control/smooth the onset of aftertouch in more than a few patches. We can clearly hear the affect of the attack parameter and it's very nice indeed. However, the decay parameter seems to have no affect at all. We imagined the aftertouch fading out very slowly while playing recently and that's when we noticed that the decay parameter isn't doing it's thing like the attack parameter.

Third Update: Posted on Nov 18, 2020
~
We've added the third video in this series to the playlist below. It demonstrates 8 more patches/performances from our upcoming release for the Wavestate.
~
(94 Performances, 258 Programs and 154 Wave Sequences) As we mentioned in the Nov 10th update above, we took some time to catch up on organizing and renaming the hundreds of files created since we started working with the Wavestate. (Nearly 600 files and counting) We have a tonne of work yet but we can say at this point that this release will contain at least 50 Performances. (Possibly 64) We are toying with the idea of breaking the bank (100-128 Performances) into 3 or 4 separate collections organized by style. For example: The "Player Performances Collection" would contain sounds that should be played 2 fisted with lots of MW, Pitchbend, Aftertouch, Poly
Aftertouch and Pedal assignments. (Obviously for those that use a proper controller)
The "Sequencing Collection" would focus mostly on splits with instruments for full arrangements. (Drums, Bass, Synth, Gtr etc...) Another collection could be based on musical sound fx and rhythmic noise. We'll see...One thing we need to do is start adding performance knob assignments. We are trying to save that task, one of our favorites, for the very end. Here's a quick look into what you can expect from the performance knobs when you get your hands on them.
~
Performance Knob Assignments:
~
(1. Master) - filter control of all layers.
(2. Timing) - wave sequence, effects.
(3. Sample) - Sample start/end, loop start/end, sequence parameters, effects.
(4. Pitch) - basic pitch of all chromatic layers.
(5. Shape) - envelopes, effects.
(6. Gate) - arpeggio gate times, envelope decay and release times.
(7. Step Seq) - various.
(8. Speed) - basic timing of all layers.

Forth Update: Posted on Nov 25, 2020

Ooops! No update this week due to the Holiday getting in the way. Please stay safe & healthy and enjoy the Holiday!

Fifth Update: Posted on Dec 2, 2020
~
We're back from the temporary madness that is the holiday we call Thanksgiving here in the states. We hope you enjoyed your holiday! Now...Down to the business at hand. We've added a new video to the playlist below that demonstrates just 1 lonely performance. "Carpenter's Tools" (The name of this performance is subject to change prior to release)
~
(108 Performances, 273 Programs and 165 Wave Sequences) We are starting finalize our plans for the release. At the moment, we are planning on 3 or possibly 4 different performance sets consisting of 20-25 performances each. The Composer's Set, Synth Set I and Synth Set II and The Sound FX Set.

Patches "Under Construction" Previews

The 1st video in this playlist starts off with a very cheesy "one key" Halloween soundcscape that we did just for fun. Jump to 1:08 if you would prefer to skip the Halloween Cheese.
